This Saturday, 10th of April,  we will be welcoming our first exhibition of 2026, Church Going by the amazing artist Glyn Brewerton.

Inspired in part by Philip Larkin’s wonderful poem, Glyn explores the materiality and the atmosphere of church buildings, some still in use, others abandoned. Combining drawing and collage, the works are made from memory.

Glyn will give a talk at Hungate on 22nd April at 6pm.

Before then, on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th, he’ll be running a workshop to produce a very large memory drawing of the tower of St Benedict’s, Norwich. Students from NUA are participating, and if you’d like to join in, the workshop runs from 11-3.30pm on Saturday 18th, and from 1.30-3.30 pm on Sunday 19th.
