Funding Success For Hungate!

We are delighted to announce that, in this difficult year, Hungate has been awarded a package of support from the Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage!£14,400 will allow us to ‘Go Digital’ by installing fiber broadband in our Grade 1 Listed building and purchasing all the kit so that – whatever happens next year – we can stream our talks, tours and events online for everyone to enjoy. We will also be able to start work with architects and architectural historians towards our planned longer term improvements to the space, getting us ready for year round use and sustainable income generation. Hungate has no staff and no jobs to save, so we do understand we might not be everyone’s first priority right now, but we fit into the local economy of Norwich Cathedral Quarter, as well supporting our landlords Norwich Historic Churches Trust to preserve this important building, and offering free learning experiences for local people, students and visitors – and supporting all of our volunteers, who will be very glad to be back!
